My name is Sophy Bristol.
Based in South London but in my twenties spent a lot of time painting in the Cape, South Africa. It is there that light became a huge influence on my work.
I love how light throws the outline of every scene into sharp relief. I have a particular interest in sun shining through trees and reflection of light on water.
Education:
Foundation course at Westminster University; BA(Hons) in Fine Art from the University for the Creative Arts (UCA).
I have exhibited extensively for the last 30 years.
Upcoming exhibition at Jane Newbery Dulwich Village in November.
